We stumbled out of our favorite bakery in Bath, Maine and were almost immediately outside Peace House Studio. The bright colors of the childrens'
clothes in the window beckoned us and as soon as we entered we were greeted
by the friendliest Sheep-dog we had ever met. It turned out he did not run the
business, but his owners did! They were so friendly and informative about a new way to look at clothes purchasing for kids. If these beautiful garments get damaged
or outgrown, just bring them back. They will find new life and you may find store
credit. Let's face it. The resources on this planet are NOT infinite and this business
is trying to be ecologically responsible without compromising on quality or aesthetic. We were sold on the idea and bought several things for our grand-
children. The kids will love the clothes and their parents will love the concept!
These are the opposite of fast fashion. Pay a little extra and treat yourself to real world clothes sustainably made by real people. So soft and comfy. I got one for my son then I got one for me! Sweatpants and crew neck sweatshirts have never been my thing but I’m in love with these and this company in general. I can’t wait to grab another set!
Not only are the owners delightful but their product is amazing. I absolutely love my new sweatshirt. I swear it got softer after I washed it. It looks great and the shape holds up really well. I am absolutely thrilled. If I could give the shop and my sweatshirt 10 stars, I would.
I recently purchased this sweatshirt for my granddaughter and find it to be of amazing quality and style. We have received many comments about how beautiful the design is and how cute she looks in her colorful top. Thank you for making children's clothing that is simple and of such good quality. I can see this sweatshirt being handed down to nieces and cousins for many years. It reminds me of the tops I have purchased in Copenhagen and Sweden.
